First elected in 2011, I’ve proudly represented our community with integrity and courage for over a decade. I believe Federal Way is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family—and I want to continue working to make it even better.
Over the years, I’ve been deeply involved in shaping the future of our city. From planning downtown redevelopment, expanding housing options for all, and creating jobs, to advocating for well-maintained parks and recreational spaces, my focus has always been on making thoughtful, forward-looking decisions for our community.
Public safety is a top priority for me. I support our Police Department and Municipal Court, and I proudly serve on the Domestic Violence Task Force for both Federal Way and King County. I also supported adding new police officers to ensure our neighborhoods are safe.
I’ve championed preserving our parks and open spaces as our city continues to grow. I voted to keep the Steel Lake Annex intact and pushed to maintain Camp Kilworth as an environmental education preserve. I led the charge to have Sound Transit choose the Midway Landfill for the Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF), because it has the least impact on our residents, landowners, and businesses.
Community involvement has always been close to my heart. You’ll often see me at events like grand openings and ribbon cuttings, National Little League Opening Day, Touch-a-Truck, Make Music Federal Way, Red, White & Blues Festival, the Farmers Market, National Night Out, the FUSION Gala, and many more. I love celebrating the vibrant spirit of our city and supporting the people who make it special.
I’ve also been honored to serve in many leadership roles on the Council. I’ve chaired and served on the Parks, Recreation, Human Services & Public Safety Committee; the Land Use and Transportation Committee; and the Finance, Economic Development, and Regional Affairs Committee. I currently advise the Federal Way Senior Commission and serve on both the Federal Way Downtown Ad Hoc Committee and the Broadband Advisory Task Force.
Before joining the Council, I spent six years serving on the Federal Way Arts and Diversity Commissions. That experience helped shape my commitment to inclusivity, culture, and community voice—values I continue to carry with me today.
As we look toward the future, I know the decisions we make now will have a lasting impact. That’s why I believe it’s essential to have experienced leadership on the Council—people who know the history, understand the nuances, and are ready to make the tough calls for the good of Federal Way. I’m ready to keep doing just that.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve. Let’s keep building a better Federal Way, together.
